Little KITEs units are formed in schools after completing the online registration facilitated by KITE. Each school unit consists of 20 to 40 students named as Little KITEs with one unit leader and deputy leader. Each unit is designated with one KITE Master and KITE Mistress who are qualified High School teachers nominated by the Head Master. Sub-district Master Trainer of KITE is the responsible personnel for co-ordinating the activities of the respective school units. The KITE Master and Mistress, who heads the Little KITES IT Clubs in their schools, are given specific ICT based trainings by KITE. The student members are given special training for at least 4 hours a month, without affecting the school activities and by making use of holidays. The performance of the student members would be evaluated at the year end and they would be awarded Certificates with Grades of A/B/C. KITE would provide financial assistance to schools towards the activities of the IT Clubs. Those Clubs who fail to perform well, would be de-recognised. Students who are not part of any other clubs but shows interest in IT are given preference to be members of Little KITES.
